Marking 35 incredible years, State Line Auto Auction’s 35th Anniversary Sale was a celebration like no other — a milestone that reflected decades of growth, partnerships, and community.

To mark the occasion, we welcomed legendary Major League Baseball player and manager Lou Piniella. Best known for his years with the New York Yankees and for leading teams as a manager, Piniella’s reputation as a fiery competitor and World Series champion made his appearance a highlight of the day. We were honored to host him at our sale, and the excitement among dealers and guests was clear throughout the event. Lou graciously signed shirts, baseballs, and other memorabilia, and both our team and attendees enjoyed the chance to take photos with him. His attendance truly made the 35th Anniversary Sale one to remember.

A Legacy of Innovation and Community

Founded in 1981 by Harry and Zora Barber, State Line Auto Auction has grown from its early days with just two lanes into a cornerstone of the dealer community. A big part of that journey was making history in 1995 as the first auto auction to sell vehicles via Simulcast, helping to shape the future of auto auctions.

Of course, our story is just as much about people as it is about progress. Our dedicated team and the strong relationships built with dealers and the local community have been at the heart of our success. Each anniversary is not only a chance to celebrate another year in business, but also a reminder of the lasting connections that continue to drive us forward.
