Vehicle Reconditioners
Must be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, age 18+

State Line Auto Auction is hiring full-time Vehicle Reconditioners to join our team in Waverly, NY. This role involves washing, cleaning, and detailing vehicles, and we’re looking for candidates who are reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and at least 18 years old. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
This is a day-shift position with required availability Monday through Friday full-time. Starting pay is $17 per hour for the first two weeks, then moves to a piece-rate system.

Road Testing & Vehicle Inspection Specialist
Must be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, age 18+

Full-time, day shift, $18-20/hour, depending on experience
State Line Auto Auction is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team full-time, performing road tests and frame/unibody inspections on vehicles consigned to our auto auction. This role is critical in ensuring accurate vehicle condition reports and maintaining trust with buyers and sellers.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform road tests to evaluate vehicle performance, drivability, steering, braking, transmission, and suspension
Inspect vehicle frames and unibody structures for damage, repairs, or structural issues
Identify signs of prior collision damage or improper repairs
Accurately document findings using inspection tools and digital reporting systems
Communicate clear and concise condition notes to auction staff
Follow all safety procedures and company inspection standards
Qualifications:
Strong automotive knowledge; mechanical or body shop experience preferred
Experience with frame/unibody inspection or collision repair is a plus
Ability to recognize structural damage and repair indicators
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Comfortable driving a wide variety of vehicles
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Basic computer or mobile app proficiency for reporting
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and part of a team
What We Offer:

Competitive hourly wage, $18-20/hour, depending on experience.
Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
